About the System

DTR (Defined Tubing Routing™) is a new innovative product specifically engineered for pharmaceutical single use applications. Using both extruded and injection moulded plastic components it has been designed to be installed quickly for both new build and retrofit applications.

Whilst defining the route of the tubing it also improves the aesthetic appearance of the facility and reduces the trip hazards.

If the end users requires multiple product change overs and these changeovers result in the need to modify the routing then the installation can be installed with this flexibility built in. Our technical support team are happy to advise on how to mount the DTR™ if a high degree of flexibility is required.

Versatility is key

DTR (Defined Tubing Routing™) can be supplied in up to 12 different colours. Colour coding has long been seen as a reliable method of error proofing operations. With the advent of single use the chance for addition errors (especially in Downstream operations) has increased. DTR™ is the first product to target this negative aspect of single use facilities.

DTR™ is not available for all tubing sizes, however it has targeted the most popular sizes of tubing use in the industry. If you require a size that is not currently available please contact our technical team and we will let you know if we have plans to make it in the future. We manufacture the product in 2.9 metre lengths. Non standard lengths can be supplied on request. Please contact our sales team.

System Components

Tubing Management

DTR™ is an extruded plastic product, making it a cost effective solution available in up to 12 colours , setting it apart from all other tubing management systems on the market. Easily cut to length it can create flexible and neat tubing paths that are available in 5 different sizes.

Available sizes:

  • 6mm (1/4”) DTR6
  • 11mm (7/16”) DTR11
  • 19mm (3/4”) DTR19
  • 25mm (1”) DTR25
  • 28mm (1 & 1/8”) DTR28
mounting back plate

The mounting plate is designed specifically for use with DTR™ and comes in two sizes. Please refer to the installation information on this website for advice on how to install.

The DTR™ Mounting Bracket is also available in 2 different sizes:

  • DTR/BPC1 To accommodate DTR6 and DTR11
  • DTR/BPC2 To accommodate DTR19, DTR25 and DTR28

Back plates can be supplied in plain format or M4 clearance holes at 34.8mm centres – BPC1 are supplied with countersunk design to ensure the screw head does not protrude and interfere with the clipping action of the backplate and DTR6 and 11 profiles.

end cap

The open end cap is designed to be mounted at the termination point of the DTR™ profile to ensure:
The profile is secured at termination
The end of the profile is masked
A locating feature is provided for the subsequent insertion of bend control accessories.

Please contact us to discuss mounting requirements as several formats are available including an expansion option for long DTR™ runs.

hinged end cap

The hinged end cap is designed to be mounted at the termination point of the DTR™ profile to secure the flexible hose within a fully enclosed feature in additional to the features provided with the ‘open’ format.

bend radius control - internal

The Internal Bend Radius control component when mounted on to one of the end cap options provides a controlled pathway for the flexible hose to prevent it from kinking or obstructing the flow of its contents during internal angle direction changes.

The Flat Bend Radius control component when mounted on to one of the end cap options provides a controlled pathway for the flexible hose to prevent it from kinking or obstructing the flow of its contents during flat angle direction changes.

stand off bracket

This bracket is designed to aid cleaning if the DTR™ is mounted to a stainless steel plate. The bracket attaches to both the end caps and the mounting back plate via bolts and capped nuts. Another countersunk bolt is provided that is internal to the stem and uses a capped nut on the opposite side of the stainless plate. See fitting instructions for further details.
